Is CNN becoming more of a gossip news channel then a real news reporting station?

oneangrychinaman asked:
I ask this because with soo much news happening world wide, all I see and hear on CNN is gossip news about political *** scandals.
Soo much time devoted to such bull, like that really matters to most poeple, that some senators is in the rest room looking for sex, geesh o.k. maybe one or twice you can listen to the stuff, but seeing the same stuff, hour after hour, day and night.
I’ll exclude Anderson Cooper from this kind of reporting, He and his crew really put their lives on the line for true and responsable journalism.
Most news looks like it’s edited to show happy happy stuff, all is well and nothing to worry about.
Allso I notice that when poeple are intervued on most events, they’re mostly white, blond, blue eyed americans. Hey, many other people can allso speak english fluently.
Why dont we see more intervues with hispanics, asians, native americans, african americans, etc.
I guess in commercial journalism, they have to please the sponsers and not necesaraly the public.

When there is bad criticism news about the US war, they put that news in the last line and have only 4 or 5 words for the heading and the words don’t make much sense until you click on it and read the article. Do you think it is bias?

Why is Rick the reporter on CNN news tonight allowed to lie with statistics?
Filed Under Media Journalism | 1 Comment
yahoo fan asked:
Why do not newsrooms required to have a staff statistician to review important hard news stories. Reporters and editors are ignorant or they just lie like dogs. Rick the reporter looks smart, sounds smart, so I would guess he lies like a dog.

Is Fox News channel and CNN trying to control this election?

Fox news and CNN is yellow journalism at it’s finest. For those of you who don’t know yellow journalism refers to journalism that features scandal-mongering, sensationalism, or other unethical or unprofessional practices by news media organizations or journalists. They are constantly touting every small remark by a democrat as late breaking news sensationalizing scandals to derail the democratic party. Sean Hannity is the ultimate yellow journalist. Meanwhile McCain gets away with everything.
