Basically, since Fx trading is an online business, the best place to get the latest news is online. If Barbara Tuchman claimed that “Books are the carriers of civilization. Without books, history is silent, literature dumb, science crippled, thought and speculation at a standstill.” No one would disagree with her famous quote. However, besides being a medium of conveying knowledge, books can be cumbersome and can take large amounts of time in finding information. The virtual effects of science have caused a breakthrough making the storehouses of information right in front of our computer screen as opposed to a newspaper where news may be shortened for the sake of space.
The new generation has the power of online portals which provide information with a mere click. No magic, no drama just news served like a hot cup of coffee to revitalize your senses. It wasn’t that long after the Web first appeared that the first portals came into existence. Portals served and continue to serve as a important launch point for Web surfing, and although there are some special-interest portals out there that get some market share, the ones that started out early are the ones that get the lion’s share of viewership.
The magical online portals have given the world of knowledge to man’s finger tip. It covers all aspects from news, headlines, sports, entertainment, living, online shopping, articles, current events, current events, news updates.
But the portals of old were plain compared to what they are today, and what they will become in the next few years. Already a far cry from the plain, static first generation of portals, today’s Web portals take advantage of new technology to create a much more exciting surfing experience. The driving force behind all this is the pervasiveness of broadband, which allows portals to hold more rich graphics and multimedia, colorful and fun animation, and functional applets such as stock market tickers and news feeds.
EMarketer’s report highlights the future of the portal in this light, noting that portal services will go even beyond the Web itself, into the areas of personalized desktops, and video/multimedia search. And of course, portals make their money chiefly through advertising, and eMarketer makes note of the fact that the type of advertising found on portals is also changing. Free Satellite Pc TV Software: 5 Good Reasons 2007 Pc TV Software
Filed Under Software | Comments Off
why do I need satellite TV on my PC Software?
Satellite TV via PC Softwares is the new buzz to hit town in home and work entertainment. The internet has once again crossed boundaries of technology to prove that it can offer more than we previously envisioned. But why would you need to get one of those satellite PC TV Softwares downloaded to your PC or Laptop? There are several reasons and this is why?
1. Save on the monthly costs of Dish satellite TV networks
On normal average you are possibly paying anywhere between $50-$100 for the monthly subscription fees to satellite TV (the one with the satelite Dish). Cable TV viewers are even getting charged higher rates and what is more disturbing is that cable television monthly fees have gone up by an average of 8% in the last five years.
On the other hand satellite TV from the internet does not cost you a dime save for the initial download fee of not more than $50. The PCTV softwares do not charge any more fees upon installation of the software. It yours for free from here on.
2. Watch satellite TV from your PC in private
The new PCTV technology enables you to capture many of your favorite sport TV network channel from your home office or at work. Since a personal computer is just that-personal, you are able to watch many of programs that you would never watch in the sitting or TV room.
3. You can watch satellite TV on travel
The satellite PCTV software can also be downloaded onto a laptop and used to access home TV networks provided you have an internet connection. Satellite PCTV is highly portable once you have the software downloaded.
I personally do a lot of traveling and are able to watch ESPN Sport, Euro Sport, FOX News, CNN News, ABC and CBS TV networks channels on my laptop. It is possible to even watch TV while camping with a remote internet connection and a reliable DC power supply to your laptop.
4. You will need PCTV software if you want to watch home TV channels
For people living away from their home county, they now have an option to access TV in their country. The online PCTV softwares present TV networks from across 70 countries in the world. The online foreign TV channels on PC are aired in the foreign languages including Spanish, Italian, Urdu, Indian, Farsi, Japanese, Chinese, Norwegian, French, Swedish, Bulgarian, Romanian, Dutch, German and many others.
5. Offers you flexibility to watch TV while you work
The satellite TV on PC will offer you flexibility to continue working while you catch on your favorite TV show. You do not need to leave your work station to watch any TV show. This means that you can minimize the TV screen on your monitor and drag it to a corner where your eye will keep checking what is being aired. In the mean time you work on your other computer based work like writing reports, working spreadsheets etc
One of the best free satellite PCTV software I have found is the PC Elite Edition. This software is retailed at a very minimal cost. The fact that it’s not absolutely free means that it delivers.
There are however no other charges besides the start up of less than $50. Again free things tend to be expensive or outright annoying. To sample the Elite Edition and see a demo of the picture quality, follow through the links below to the vendor’s site.

Thank God For The Recession-Bad Economy Can Also Be A Blessing
Filed Under Coaching | Comments Off
We need the media to provide information that will educate us about events taking place at long distance and around us. I beleive the media is a great source of information we need to know what happening in our world, but most of news companies are not doing that. Instead, the focus is on all the negative things happening in the world today. Why is that? Well news executives and giant news companies understand the power of negative news. It gives them more ratings. Research shows that most people focus on the negative side of life than the positive side of it. Most Americans are glued to the tv flipping channels all day. The average American watch total of fours a day tv. And yet complaint about no job. Flipping channel all day will not find you a job my friend. Put in that four hours doing something constructive and your life will change slowly.
One example of how people love negative events is, let say you walking down the street and see two people fighting you will get so excited, and want to get even closer with your camera phone to take pictures. You might go as far as calling friends and families about the action. You may call cnn for an i-report. On the other hand, coming across two people who having normal conversation does not excite you at all. When you see a guy and his wife or girlfriend making love or kissing, all you going to do is laugh and walk by. Because not much action taking place to draw in crowd. This is why more and more people are watching the news since President admitted that we are in a recession. The power of negative news can really **** in many people waiting to see the up and down of the stock market. If people put in at least half of their tv time looking for job or other opportunities, then I think we will see less complaints and unemployments.
The question is everything taking place in this country is it all out bad? I don’t think so. A recent cnn news shows that couple contemplating to divorce change their mind because of the recession. This is good news because we can reduce the 70% divorce rate in America. what they realize is, it will cost them more money and emotional pain when seperated. So they decide to stick in there. Divorce can even cause you more finacial problems in the near future than the recession causing you right now. For instance a friend of mind told me that his divorce caused him total of $10,000 and excluding other legal fees. This is why it is so important to work on your differences and negotiate what really important in your marriage and why did you get married in the first place. Another thing is Americans are learning to educate themselves about money management due to this recession, and that good news too. They are now appreciating the little they have and putting it to good use. What we also seeing is that more and more are believing in God and turning to faith based and religious organizations for help and hope.
In conclusion, we must pay attention to the good and bad news because they both exist. Focusing on just one side of the story will only distract you from the big picture of what you need to do as an indivitual to start changing your life. I know and you know the recession will be the result of many good things to follow when the storm settle down. Keep you head and keep moving forward, and i wish you success. Is CNN Headline News (TV) annoying you with the @%! BEEPs at the start of each Story?
Filed Under Media Journalism | 1 Comment
To lead in each news story a series of beeps is played. Its an obvious attention getting ploy but to me its like nails on a chalk board. Especially since this sound effect is getting over used.
The sound guy must have got a new sound effect on Christmas and is playing with it every time he gets a chance….
So What is your opinion of the Beeping Sound effect on CNN Headline News. Do you like It, OR Should CNN stop it?
